This week as been extremely busy! (Thus the silence on my blog!) It's that time of year again! Time to get the garden going. Monday was the perfect day for it to! We planted a TON of flowers in pots to put around the garden and then in the garden we planted potatoes and set up our trellis for planting pole beans later on! We had a blast and i can't wait to taste those homegrown potatoes again. (If you've never had homegrown potatoes, you are really missing out!) Wednesday I went to a baseball game with some friends! That was so much fun! (I was having so much fun that I didn't have time to take any blog worthy pictures!) Then finally last night my sister and I went to see "The Barber of Seville!" Yep. My week has been full, and isn't over yet! Fun, busy times!
Hope everyone is have as much fun as I am this week! :-D Happy Friday!! It's almost the weekend!

Yep! I've been cooking again! This time it was an old recipe that we've had for forever but I hadn't made it in years. This recipe is from Taste Of Home and you can also find it HERE! And the finished product!
Ever Spring I'm in awe of the God's beautiful creation coming to life again! I had to take some pictures of our Azalea bushes. They are absolutely gorgeous! The pictures just don't do them justice! Happy Monday everyone!!!
Yep y'all it's another recipe! I guess I've just been doing a lot more cooking recently!
This recipe is super easy! INGREDIENTS 12 boneless skinless chicken tenders 3 cups of pasta bow ties. (The large are best) 3/4 cups of Alfredo sauce 1/2 cup of basil pesto 1/2 cup of milk INSTRUCTIONS Boil chicken salted water then cut into cubes. Cook bow ties according to box instructions. (I added some salt) Once both the chicken and pasta are done, combine them in a pan then add the rest of the ingredients. Stir until chicken and pasta are completely coated. (If it is a little dry, add more Alfredo sauce.) Cover and put on low heat until the dish is completely warmed through, stirring occasionally. ENJOY!! So I decided to have some fun in the kitchen this afternoon so I did a spin on a cookie bar recipe that we had in one of our cook books. This is what I came up with! I started with a box of Butter Recipe Fudge cake mix. To that I added: 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup of butter 1/2 cup of quick oats After all the ingredients were thoroughly mixed together. I then stirred in: 1 cup of pecans (roughly) 3/4 cup of raisins (roughly) 1/2 bag of Reese's peanut butter chips 1 bag of White Chocolate chips I put that mixture into a greased 13/9' pan. Popped it into the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes! Can't wait to dig into it! It smells phenomenal! Anything with chocolate right?!?
To all my readers, I'd love to hear feedback. If any of you try any of the recipes I've blogged, I'd love to hear if you liked them or even things you might have done differently! |

By way of introduction, I am a wife, musician, teacher, coffee lover, baker, nature lover, writer, and most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus. I'm super thankful that the Lord has given me this little outlet to share some of the things He has taught me, things that have inspired me, changed me or just gotten me excited about living life. My prayer is that what you read and see here will be an encouragement to your heart, bring you joy, and maybe even inspire you! Archives
