Memorial Day. A day that a lot of people think of as a day to be with family and have a cookout or something to that effect, but to the family who have loved ones serving our country or have lost loved ones who were fighting for our freedom, it is a day to remember. A day to honor those lost, those still with us, and those overseas. A day to recognized sacrifice, and for some, a day to grieve.
A lot of Americans take the freedom we have for granted. We forget about all the people battling to keep our freedom. I want to take this chance to thank all the troops who are here overseas and those here in the states. Also, to their families, thank you for making the sacrifice. To all the families who have lost their loved ones, our prayers go with you. God bless you'll. Freedom isn't free. Our land is the land of the free because of the brave.

Mother's day is a day to celebrate the role God gave to women. I think most people (who aren't mothers) underestimate, or maybe don't appreciate all the things mothers do. I for one don't want to be like that. I know my mom has worked hard to keep things going. To all the mothers out there; You are amazing, and don't ever let yourself think that your role as a mother is insignificant. Raising the next generation is far from insignificant. Happy Mother's Day (a day late) This mothers day I took my mom to Starbucks. She had never been so I figured it was pretty much time to get her introduced to the world of coffee done right! She definitely enjoyed the coffee, but more importantly, we got to spend time together and talk!
Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you! Today I was very privileged to play the best Steinway piano EVER! Playing on an instrument like that is not only exhilarating, but also inspiring. This piano in particular had been worked on an worked on until it was just the right touch. I could go on and on about it, but I'll spare everyone and just leave you with a picture!! (Picture doesn't do it justice) Happy Monday everyone!
Oh come let us sing to The Lord: make a joyful noise to the rock of our Salvation. Psalm 95:1 |
About Me
Hi! My name is Bethany. I'm so glad you've stopped in at my little corner of the internet! By way of introduction, I am a wife, musician, teacher, coffee lover, baker, nature lover, writer, and most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus. I'm super thankful that the Lord has given me this little outlet to share some of the things He has taught me, things that have inspired me, changed me or just gotten me excited about living life. My prayer is that what you read and see here will be an encouragement to your heart, bring you joy, and maybe even inspire you! Archives
