Today is a sad day for our family. Our sweet Australian Shepherd, Lacie, had to be put down today. She has been a part of our family for almost 13 years...over half my life. I still remember the day we got her. She was the cutest ball of fluff I've ever seen. Because of her thick fuzzy hair we named her Lacie Bear and affectionately referred to her as LB, Stinker, Cutie, Fluffy...the list could go on. She had the sweetest disposition and got along with everybody. She was really stubborn at times and at times she would frustrate us to death when we would try to feed her because she wanted us to hand feed her, but we loved her despite her willful attitude. We are all going to miss her a lot. Our back yard will never be the same. She grew oldershe

For the first time sense 2010, I got to go to the beach! And yes, it really had been 4 years. To the people that make a habit of going every year this might be a shocker, but it's true. Not every family takes a week every summer to sit out on the beach soaking up the sun, gorgeous views, and the wonderful salt air. This trip, my family didn't even go with me! I went with three awesome friends. We had a complete blast! The water was cool (full of seaweed) but cool, and the sun was absolutely wonderful. I may or may not have gotten burnt to a crisp. It was so nice to take a short breather before school starts here in a couple of days. This trip I made it a point to get up early to watch the sunrise. There is something so peaceful about the early hours of the morning on the beach. The perfect time to sit and spend some time with my Creator. The sunsets were even more gorgeous. The first night we were there, my friends and I went and sat out on the beach and watched the sunset and talked until it was completely dark. And yes I realize I might be making some of my readers jealous by now, but just keep in mind that I hadn't been sense 2010! :-) Needless to say, my weekend was amazing and I really want to go back and do it again soon! I had so much fun with these sweet girls! Here are a few pictures from the weekend. So sorry some of them aren't the best quality. I didn't take a nice camera...which now I wish that I had, but I did get a few great pictures! :-) And to end the trip off, God blessed us with an absolutely gorgeous drive home! Complete with a huge rainbow! Our God truly is an awesome Creator! This whole past weekend me think of a song called "Creator of It All." Click on the song to listen! Hope all of you have a blessed weekend, and to all of you starting school next week, have a great first day! As a challenge to myself and all you other college students out there, don't let the hectic schedule overpower you. Make a point to spend time with the Lord every day. Keep your relationship strong with Him and you will have a great year!

About Me
Hi! My name is Bethany. I'm so glad you've stopped in at my little corner of the internet! By way of introduction, I am a wife, musician, teacher, coffee lover, baker, nature lover, writer, and most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus. I'm super thankful that the Lord has given me this little outlet to share some of the things He has taught me, things that have inspired me, changed me or just gotten me excited about living life. My prayer is that what you read and see here will be an encouragement to your heart, bring you joy, and maybe even inspire you! Archives
