Ok y'all! As most of you probably know, I live in GA. While I don't live in south GA, I don't get to see a ton of snow. The most snow I have ever seen at one time was probably about 4 or 5 inches once when I was little. That is until now! My semester is quickly winding down and I only have 1 final left! WHOOHOO!!! With all that being said, my weekend definitely didn't go as planned. In fact, today I was supposed to have a student Christmas recital for some of my students. God had other plans and I'm not complaining! Yesterday I woke up to a little bit of snow coming down, but I didn't really think it would amount to anything because usually in GA it just doesn't. Especially before the first day of winter. So here's what I saw when I got up yesterday. Boy was I wrong about it not snowing more...School closed and it continued to snow all day long.... Last night I spent some time journaling and just thanking God for such a beautiful gift for the end of school. Really, my whole semester God has continually showed His love and goodness to me and I feel so undeserving. My semester couldn't have gone better. The snow is kind of like the icing on the cake. I'm feeling so blessed. This morning, I woke up to no power and about a foot of snow in some places. Crazy right?!?! The sun came out a few hours later and everything simply glistened. Today fulfilled a childhood dream of mine. Lots of snow, lots of fun, and I even got the opportunity to meet a new friend that just happens to be my next door neighbor and we had a snowball fight and built a snowman together. It was so much fun!!!!! Now as the sun is setting, there is still a lot of snow on the ground instead of being all melted in one day! So today, I'm thanking God for the perfect end to week 1 of my finals weeks. I literally couldn't have asked for a better almost end to the semester. I'm thanking Him for fun times with new friends and family. I'm thanking Him for His beautiful creation covered in a blanket of snow from heaven. I'm thanking Him for the snowy view from my window as I write this post. And lastly, I'm thankful to God for making my home a wintery wonderland that looks like it came straight out of a picture book and giving me a White almost-Christmas! I am so blessed and filled to overflowing. ' R I G H T O U T O F A P I C T U R E B O O K '

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I have a new favorite kitchen tool that my mom gifted me. I use it SO much. That would be my milk frother! I've been completely obsessed with making "Lattes." The reason I have that in quotations is because I don't have all the equipment to make actual, honest-to-goodness, real lattes that you would buy at Starbucks. But they taste amazing! So I thought I'd share the ingredients that I use to make my "Pumpkin Spice Latte." I'm not going to call it a recipe because I don't have amounts. I think I make it a little different every time...
So Here's the list of ingredients. They can be modified for however sweet or not sweet you want it. - Coffee - Milk - Maple Syrup - Pumpkin Spice And that's it! Nothing special, but SO GOOD! If you don't have a milk frother, you can always just put all those ingredients into your coffee and stir it up. Since I do have a frother, I make my cup of coffee, then in a different mug I warm up my milk in the microwave (For about 30 seconds.) After it is warm I add my maple syrup and spice and then blend it together with my frother until it looks like a good foamy consistency. I add that mixture to my coffee and that's it! Super simple and easy! |
