Merry Christmas!!! I hope everyone had a exciting, relaxing, and enjoyable Christmas with family and friends celebrating the birth of our precious Savior. This time of year has always been my favorite because everyone seems to be more happy than usual and all the kids have and excited glow on their faces.
This Christmas was a quiet Christmas for our family. All of our out of town family couldn't make it in and our family couldn't make the trip either due to crazy work schedules. Therefore, it was just my parents and us four girls. It was so good to spend time together and it was the first time in a long time that all of us were home all day and didn't have to go anywhere. It brought back a lot of good memories of when life wasn't quite as crazy as it is now! This season I have been constantly reminded of God's power to change people's lives, to bring hope, and to restore joy to peoples lives. His mercy, power, and grace has been manifested so many times in the last couple of weeks. Even a couple of days before Christmas our family got some news that was very discouraging and it was an issue that we had been praying about for quite some time and it kind of felt like that was the end and there was now no way that it could possibly get better. Christmas morning God gave us a miracle regarding the issue and gave our family renewed hope. Even though we aren't sure what will happen in the situation we were reminded that God is in control and what ever happens, He will work through it and make all the knots and twists and turns into a beautiful picture in His time. I was reminded of Isaiah 43:1-2 which says: "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." This gives us even more reason to celebrate our Savior and His birth. He is our Peace. Merry Christmas too all!! (sorry it is late, but I felt spending time with family far exceeded the need to blog!) :-)

About Me
Hi! My name is Bethany. I'm so glad you've stopped in at my little corner of the internet! By way of introduction, I am a wife, musician, teacher, coffee lover, baker, nature lover, writer, and most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus. I'm super thankful that the Lord has given me this little outlet to share some of the things He has taught me, things that have inspired me, changed me or just gotten me excited about living life. My prayer is that what you read and see here will be an encouragement to your heart, bring you joy, and maybe even inspire you! Archives
